Presence Status "DND" gets reset to away on untethered Polycom CX600 during Phone Lock (Lync Phone Edition)

Hello,

i am having the following issue with the presence Status on our Polycom CX600 Telephones.

if a status is manually set on the phone to do not disturb, this status gets reset to inactive as soon as the telephone locks itself.

This is some kind of a problem, if i don't touch my phone for 5 Minutes while i don't want to be disturbed, everyone can call me again.

Is there a workaround to prevent the reset of the status?

or shouldn't this happen?

With best regards,

Stefan

No, there is no workaround for the phone. Only workaround is to use a Lync Client and set this client to DND if the phone is not a common area phone.

Hi,

Agree with Holger Bunkradt. It is by design. It is help to show the real situation for the user. After the Polycom Phone be locked, it will turn to "away". It will ignore the presence setting before the lock.

Base on my test, even set the DND status on the desktop client, when desktop computer be locked, the presence still show "away" as well.
